Star Eagles is a science fiction action game of futuristic space fighter combat that allows you to play out the battles from your favorite books, movies, and TV shows. In a standard game, each player controls a squadron of 4-12 ships competing in exciting, objective-based missions in space, on moons, and in the atmosphere of planets. The game is easy to learn, yet tactically rich with many options that provide variety without bogging down the pace. Players build their squadron from a variety of small craft ranging from nimble, yet fragile, light fighters all the way up to larger gunboats and corvettes. Although Star Eagles may be used to play one-off missions, the game is intended to be played as a campaign where your pilots gain experience and you manage your squadron's resources over a series of linked scenarios.
Latest Updates from Our Project:
STAR EAGLES FUNDED - THANK YOU!

Ganesha Games would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of you who have pledged your support to STAR EAGLES and helped us meet our funding goal. THANK YOU!
The goal of STAR EAGLES was to produce an easy to learn, fast paced, and scalable space fighter game that allowed you to use any model spaceship you already own. We also wanted to design a system that was robust enough to let you create ships from any media such as video games, movies, books, and TV series. You can choose how you want the game to play, be it a more Hollywood approach where ships explode in fireballs with a single blast of laser fire or a more video game approach where you blast away at the ship until it breaks apart. If you ever wanted to know how a Star Fury would do against a Colonial Viper, STAR EAGLES gives you those tools. We are excited this is now a reality thanks to you.
In addition to the design system, we know many people would prefer to just jump in and play without doing the work of creating their own profiles. So we created a fully developed and flesh out universe full of designs that are unique, but also familiar. This allows you to dive right into the action and enjoy pulse pounding dogfights right from the start.
To make sure the game doesn’t get stale. The mission generator ensure that no two missions are the same. Even using the same models, each time you play STAR EAGLES, you will face a new challenge and require a different strategy to win.
GAME PLAY VIDEOS
We have produced our first 'How to Play' video which you may watch on your tube below. This covers most of the core basics of the game and demonstrate how ships activate, move, and attack in Star Eagles. I will be doing more video over the weekend that elaborate more on combat, such as how to fire missiles, and how combat cards and initiative work in a bit more detail. I will also eventually add a video showing how hidden movement and scanning work if you wish to use those options.
STRETCH GOALS
Now we can start working towards unlocking more ship designs and factions. As each design is unlocked, we will be releasing a different squadron packs showcasing the new ships. New ships will also be available as individual packs for people who prefer to pick and choose what they like. If we unlock enough new ships, whole new factions will become available. We also have a few free surprises along the way.
Our next Goal is the S’Sekai Swarm drone.
Swarm drones allow the S'Sekai to attack in waves with many cheap and expendable craft that are designed to distract their enemy so their main forces can complete their objectives unmolested. Although individually weak, drones in large numbers can be very deadly.
NEW SQUADRONS AVAILABLE

As we reach the mid-point of the STAR EAGLES project, we have decided to do some changes that I hope all backers will see as a significant improvement to the project, especially those interested in the miniatures for the game.
STAR EAGLES was designed around four fleet design philosophies and we created four sets of ships to exemplify these ideas and give people ideas of what they could do with their own designs. The two core factions where the S’Sekai and Con-Star and these formed these basis of the launch of the Kickstarter. However we also have a lot of other nice designs that we want to see people use. After some discussions on Facebook with some of our backers who have been following the project from the early days, we have decided to unlock all the existing stretch goal and make squadrons available for all four core fleets. We have also put some brief ‘Pros and Cons’ of each of the Squadrons to help you decide which you may want to play.
This mean that backers pledging for squadron level pledges now have many more choices to choose from. It also means, if you like specific designs, you now have access to all of the core ships we had mapped out in the stretch goals.
We will be including all of these designs in the STL file reward levels as well. This means you will now have a total of 18 different designs, plus flight stands, ordnance, and movement templates included with the print at home files. We will also be including STL print files with all 'Deluxe' level pledges at no additional cost.
We hope these changes will help increase the appeal to new backers as well as offer more value to our existing supporters.
NEW SQUADRONS AVAILABLE NOW
So what about stretch goals now?
We realize stretch goals are exciting, but we wanted the game to have as much content as possible from the beginning and have made as many ships available as possible without the need to drag through the stretch goal process. If the project is fortunate enough to exceed $38,000 we will begin to offer some new ship designs to provide more variety to the existing squadrons. The new designs will be posted if we begin to close in on that goal.
We hope all of our backers see this as a positive change for the project and are excited about the new possibilities.

New METAL OPTION available to increase game content.

We have been exploring ways to increase the number of ships included with the game. We have now found a viable option to add extra ships to the Starter Set and Squadron packs by casting the smaller ships in metal instead of resin. The metal ships would still retain all of the detail of the resin ships, but due to the higher efficiency of the metal manufacturing process with smaller items, we can afford to squeeze in some additional smaller ships in the set and add a few heavy fighters to the Starter Set. We will also be including more smaller ships in all of the Full Squadron packs as well.
We see this as an enhancement of value to all of our backers, we will still continue to offer the all resin option for those who prefer that material, but the sets will not have the extra ships. You will be able to choose which option when completing the pledge manager at the end of the Kickstarter.
Below is the additional content you will get by converting the smaller ships to metal.
